Strate's Brauhaus in Detmold

We used the delivery service on Saturday. The duck and goose dishes were delivered in an electric warming box and exceeded our expectations. Of course, there was no nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

Very tasty food, staff attentive and friendly. Now offer a special delivery service in Corona times.

And the one star is still too much. Online reservation not answered. Waited on site in the vestibule for allocation of space, service staff passes you several times without "service thoughts"! After waiting five minutes, our 💶 filled another restaurant cashier. Service is different!

The food was very tasty! The service was very quick and nice. I had the turkey steak with mango barbecue sauce and the baked potato with herb quark as a side dish. My friend the Braumeister pan. To drink we ordered the Zwickel, country beer and cellar beer. The taste of the beer was too "thin" for us. Really weak for a brewery, so we had hoped for more. We'll definitely be back because of the food, but we won't have a beer.

We actually go to Detmold for a weekend at least once a year. Somehow we loved the city and the surrounding area :) And for us, every visit to Detmold has also included a visit to Strate's Brauhaus since the first time! The service is always friendly, the food very tasty and the beer alone is worth every trip. The prices are completely okay for what you get. I can particularly recommend the snack. Especially if you have planned a hike around the Hermannsdenkmal, the Externsteine ​​or the open-air museum during the day, this is exactly the right choice to strengthen yourself :) We look forward to our next visit!

Not a bad place in itself, staff friendly and slow. Food not really hot, but tastes good. Prices are too high too. What is currently not possible is the toilet situation. Unfortunately, I didn't like it that much overall.

Great place to have traditional German food. Very reasonable price. I tried the pork with sauerkrautand w/ potatoes. For dessert we shared something close to American pancake. Both of them were really good.
